Hot Runner Coil Heater

Hot runner coil heaters are an advanced concept of thermal engineering, which have a construction similar to high watt density cartridge heaters. These heaters are also known as high performance tabular heaters. The construction of these heaters consist of compacted MgO, high temperature resistance wire and stainless steel tubes. They are usually installed where space is at a premium. Some of the applications are hot-runner nozzles and bushings, die casting nozzles, packaging machinery, etc. Dimensional tolerance of coil heater: ID – 0.1 to 0.2 mm, length – 1 mm, cold section – 5 mm, and watts – 10%. Standard sizes for coil heaters: round – Ø 3, Ø 4, Ø 5 mm; square – 3 x 3 mm, 3.2 x 3.2 mm, 3.3 x 3.3 mm, 3.5 x 3.5 mm, 4.5 x 4.5 mm; flat – 2.2 x 4.3 mm, 2.5 x 4.3 mm, 2.5 x 4.5 mm, 3.5 x 4.5 mm, 3.5 x 5 mm, 3.5 x 5.5 mm, and 4.5 x 5 mm.
