Oxford Electrohit has been manufacturing flexiband heaters since 1978. A quality and durable band heater providing more efficient heating and cooling, and longer life compared to other types of band heaters. Due to the rugged construction characteristics of this type of band heater, flexiband has proven to be extremely valuable and has become the most sought after band heater of its type for plastic injection moulding machines, extruder and blow moulding equipment. Design features: quick installation; rugged durable construction; contamination proof; various lead terminations; exceptionally long life; excellent heat transfer; excellent temperature uniformity. Performance ratings: maximum temperature – 650°F (350°C); and nominal watt density – 35 W/in2 (5.4 W/cm2). Electrical ratings: maximum voltage – 277/415 V AC per half; maximum wattage – depends on dia and number of elements used; maximum amperage – 30 A per circuit; resistance tolerance – +10%, -5%; and wattage tolerance – +5%, -10%. This type of cast in heater is manufactured on a specific application design basis.
