Capri Cables offers Heat Pipe Heat Sinks. These are used for cooling of semi-conductor power devices (Diodes, Thyristors, IGBTs), electronic assemblies, bus bars & optical cable junctions, control panels, servers & computers. These are also used for energy recovery in air handling units, humidity control, solar energy applications & cryogenics. Advantages of heat pipes in cooling of electronics: high heat transfer capacity because of high thermal conductance; maximum heat flux is achieved with minimum temperature difference; does not require external energy for operation other than the energy it transfers; greater design freedom ? can be manufactured to suit exact wattage dissipation; provides for higher loading of electronic devices than with conventional cooling; unmatched suitability in higher wattage dissipation segment; provide for 20-40% reduction in weight & physical dimensions; no maintenance required throughout the life and very long life, even up to 20 years.
