Kosha Engineers manufactures air fins steam heat exchanger for paddy drying since 1978. Drying plants in rice mills are very useful as these occupy less space, avoid any foreign contamination and save a lot of time. One can dry rice round the clock throughout the year. The company has supplied a number of heat exchangers all over India and also in Nepal. Fins: continuous spirally wound finned tubes with crimped fins give high efficiency than bare tubes and moreover these are wound with tension which gives a rigid grip, and hence 80% more efficiency. Nowadays crimped fin has gained more and more acceptance and popularity in industries. Technical description: size ? overall dimensions 5' x 5' with 65 x 65 x 6 angle frame. The company manufactures steam heat exchangers in different capacities from 8 tonnes to 30 tonnes rice to be dried per day, with different numbers of tubes used. The temperature depends on the input steam pressure. If allowed to pass steam at 100 PSIG in the heat exchanger, one will get 120?C temperature in 201 and 245 tubes heat exchangers. In 270 and 300 tubes heat exchanger, one will get 140?C temperature provided the pipelines are properly insulated and condensate removed by trap.
