Lean Gas Fired Boilers

Thermax offers single-drum and bi-drum type Blast Furnace Gas (BFG)/Lean Gas Fired Boilers for the steel industry. Both packaged and site-erected options are available. The burners for these boilers are manufactured indigenously, incorporating proprietary Babcock & Wilcox design. A notable benefit of Thermax's proven design, effective at over two dozen operating installations, is its high reliability in spite of the peculiar characteristics of the gas-slow-burning nature, low calorific value and low combustibles. Operating range: capacities – up to 500 TPH; pressure – up to 100 kg/cm2 sq(g); temperature – up to 560ºC; and fuels – blast furnace gas, coke oven gas, corex gas, LD gas and other lean gases.
