Suhner offers Flexible Shafts as a design element. Flexible shafts have proven themselves as a structural element a million times in various industries. Torques can be easily transferred into three-dimensional space. The applications are accordingly very different. The range is wide with different structures and diameters (Ø 0.8 mm to 38 mm), as holding or solid shaft. Depending on the application and requirements, the company produces waves of bright, brass-plated, galvanised or stainless spring steel wire. Due to the excellent agility and power transmission the flexible shafts for various grinding devices are always preferred. Of course, flexible shafts are also suitable for emergency operation and emergency drives; that is, in certain applications it is a safety-relevant part. For special machines of any kind, there are different applications for transmitting torque with flexible shafts.
