The spur and helical gears are made out of hardened or non-hardened alloy steel/case hardening alloy steel, mild steel or cast iron, while worm gears are made of phosphor bronze on hobbing machines. Many gears like 4 DP 18 teeth, made of SAE 1040 (CK 35) duly hardened and completely machined for crushers, worm shaft and worm gear for centre distance 2.5", ratio 30, are available ex-stock.
