Texmaco Wins Rs 150.6 Mn Contract for Ballastless Track Systems in Delhi Metro

Texmaco Rail & Engineering Limited, a leading engineering and infrastructure company with a long-standing legacy in the rail and urban transit sector, has been awarded a Rs 150.6 million contract by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). The contract involves the installation, testing, and commissioning of ballastless track systems, along with the supply of buffer stops, across multiple high-traffic corridors in the National Capital Region. This project marks a significant milestone in Texmaco’s expanding footprint in India’s growing metro and mass transit ecosystem.

Under the scope of work, Texmaco will execute track-related infrastructure covering 5.8 track-kilometres (T-KM) across three strategic metro locations: Saket-G Metro Station on Line-11, Sarita Vihar Depot on Line-10, and Noida Electronic City Metro Station on Line-3. These corridors form a critical part of the Delhi Metro network, serving dense urban regions and enabling high-volume passenger mobility. The project is scheduled to commence on December 1, 2025, and is expected to be completed within 12 months, adhering to DMRC’s safety, quality, and engineering specifications.

The ballastless track system is a key component of modern metro infrastructure globally, offering enhanced stability, reduced maintenance, and superior performance under high-frequency operations. Texmaco’s selection for this contract underscores its expertise in delivering advanced, durable, and energy-efficient track solutions that meet the demands of contemporary metro systems.

Sudipta Mukherjee, Managing Director, Texmaco Rail & Engineering Limited, expressed his appreciation on the order win, said, “We are pleased to receive this important contract from DMRC, which reaffirms the sector’s confidence in Texmaco’s engineering capabilities, execution efficiency, and commitment to quality. As India continues to expand and upgrade its metro networks, Texmaco is proud to contribute to building world-class urban mobility infrastructure. This project is fully aligned with the national priorities of Make in India and Aatmanirbhar Bharat, and we remain firmly focused on delivering reliable, high-precision rail solutions that support India’s long-term transportation vision.”

Texmaco is also carrying out similar work for DMRC, constructing 58 track-kilometres (T-KM) from Majlis Park station to R.K. Ashram station extension. The company has already completed 22 track-kilometres (T-KM) in this project, along with 6 scissor crossings, 8 crossovers, and 5 turnovers within the time frame set by DMRC.

As India deepens its emphasis on clean, efficient, and modern mass transit, Texmaco remains committed to strengthening urban infrastructure through innovation-driven engineering and a focus on operational excellence.
