Clutch Brake Combination Unit

Cryotron Magnadrives offers an electromagnetic hollow shaft Clutch Brake Combination Unit, Type HSCBC. The working of this unit is identical to CBC type units. The main feature of this unit is that it is used in flange mounted motors to suit standard flanges of motors and gearboxes. It has B5 mounting flanges that are directly equivalent to standard motor configurations. It has a hollow input to suit standard motor frames and the output is identical to the output of standard motors of the corresponding size. In typical application it is mounted on geared motors in between the motor and gearbox. Widely used for high frequency start stops like CBC units, its functioning is similar to CBC units as well. The same split shaft assembly to achieve desired results is incorporated. The unit is compact in construction compared to CBC units. The usage of couplings, etc., is eliminated in this case and it provides a silent and vibration free transmission of torque without any chances of misalignment. It is available in various other mounting configurations, up to 400 Nm torque. Mounting of HSCBC unit: the input is hollow and has internal keyway. The motor shaft is directly suited into the hollow input of the unit. The B5 flange is bolted with the motor flange and at the output it is similarly bolted and fitted to the gear drive or corresponding B5 flange or other devices.
