Calliper Disc Brakes, Powerful Positioning

Industrial braking solutions: linear moving loads and rotary masses are reliably braked and are positioned accurately by the Calliper Disc Brakes from Stromag (SIME brakes). Available in hydraulic or electromagnetic actuation execution, they consist of solid and self-ventilated brake discs to which one or several electrically or hydraulically actuated brake callipers are fitted. The brake torque is generated by spring pressure and depending upon the selection, is available for service or emergency stop applications. Service brakes: series 600, 5 and CA electromagnetically actuated with automatic wear adjustment, high switching frequency and high heat capability, Series FAV actuated by electro-hydraulic thruster, Series TA hydraulically actuated with hydro spring. Emergency brakes: Series OSA, 2SA – electromagnetically actuated, Series TH and SH – hydraulically actuated. SIME brakes are the de-facto standard in industries like steel mills, heavy machinery industry, power stations and passenger or material conveying because of their extremely high reliability and quality standard.
