Steel Foundry Industries, formerly known as Steel Industries, is a manufacturer of cast and machined components. The product range of the company includes Grey, S.G and steel castings apart from finished products like brake drums, mounting flange, gear case cover, and more. Supported by a well equipped infrastructure that includes a captive foundry unit, and a machine shop that can do 5000MT of castings per annum, the company also has an in-house testing and quality control mechanism to monitor the parameters of sand, mould, temperature and composition of liquid metal and the physical, chemical and metallurgical properties of castings. The brake drums the company manufactures find use in heavy commercial vehicles. They make an integral part of the drum arrangement, usually at the rear, and play a critical role in the retardation of the vehicle positively, and smoothly. Clients of the company include Tata Motors, H V Axles, Telco, and the Lohia Group.
