Spheros Motherson Thermal Systems offers Modus Cool, a roof hatch with integrated electric ventilator. It is an optimal solution for warm climate environments. The hatch is not only an emergency escape hatch fulfilling the 2001/85EC regulations, but it also gives a boost to the climate control. For application in bus, or a coach, Modus Cool, has a regular hatch that can be opened for ventilation only when the surrounding environment enables this option (when not raining) whereas Modus Cool with the integrated fan makes ventilation operational regardless of the weather conditions. The ventilation is also fully functional in stand-still state, and at low speeds, unlike a traditional hatch, which provides ventilations only when the vehicle is in motion – the breeze finding its way into the cabin. An injection moulded frame is at the heart of the Modus Cool roof hatch, along with quick and precise fittings that ensure a life time water proof functionality for the dome and the emergency exit handles. Also, a part of Modus Cool design is an extra wide mounting collar with plenty of tolerance.
