Deep freezer

Kerala-based Chilton has entered into the relatively new concept of eutectic (UT) freezing. UT deep freezers maintain freezing temperatures even during prolonged power failure or power shut downs. These freezers prevent ice from melting even after 32 hours of power failure, under test condition. Energy saving is up to 20 percent compared to branded freezers made in India. A 155 litre UT deep freezer consumes less than one unit per day under test conditions. A 425 litre UT deep freezer consumes less than 2.5 units per day under test conditions. The company has sold around 100 units in the first twelve months of production of deep freezers. With the arrival of new ice cream manufactures in Kerala/India the business opportunity for UT deep freezers are very high. Production range at present covers units in: 70, 125, 155, 200, 300 and 425 litre capacity. These are suitable for ice cream parlours, bakeries, super markets, milk dairies, and cold storages. Also available are special combination freezer cum cooler units as per customer requirements.
