Rittal Thermoelectric Coolers are a world first in system climate control. These powerful, lightweight cooling units are currently the most efficient type of climate control for command panels and small enclosures. With a cooling output of 100 W, the new units, based on state-of-the-art Peltier technology, offer impressive benefits, particularly for command panels and small enclosures. They are a first on the global market, boasting a COP (coefficient of performance) of more than 1, measuring just 125 x 155 x 400 mm (WHD) and weighing less than 3 kg. Rittal's innovation delivers an efficiency that is 100 per cent higher than traditional units on the market, while providing the same cooling output. In addition to the lower procurement costs, these units also cut energy costs by over 60 per cent. Energy-efficient control with pulse width modulation and an innovative soft-start function makes for a constant housing temperature and a long service life for the Peltier elements. Overheating is identified and indicated reliably. An innovative air routing system ensures an optimum air flow to the Peltier elements. Thanks to the scalability of the modular design, the cooling output can be increased as required. The Peltier technology allows for horizontal and vertical mounting and fault-free operation on command panels. The Rittal Thermoelectric Coolers are available in two fully wired units ready for connection: 24 V DC (without power pack), weighing less than 3 kg, and 94 V to 264 V, 50/60 Hz (AC) with an integrated power pack, weighing around 3.5 kg. As compressors are not required with this technology, the units operate smoothly, making them ideal for high-precision applications.
