Cryogenic Processor

Primero Enserve offers Cryogenic Processor. This is a material improvement technology using ultra low temperatures as a function of time to bring about substantive benefits to any material or part treated. Subjecting materials to controlled thermal cycling between the temperature range of -300°F to +300°F brings about substantive benefits in the area of cost reduction. The Cryo Processor is a microprocessor controlled, super insulated equipment capable of performing a complex time temperature profiles. The equipment can be custom built to any size or shape depending on end user requirements with the smallest capable of holding about 100 kg. This processing enhances productive life of material or part treated by all/any of the following mechanisms: molecular level homogeneity; conversion of retained austenite to tempered martensite; significant improvement in material toughness; relief of residual stresses; structural compactness through precipitation of additional fine "binder" carbides & grain boundary refinement. The application includes: automotive parts like engine blocks, piston, camshaft, crankshaft, brake, springs, etc; electrical parts like resistance welding electrodes of copper and other alloys, switching systems, etc; wear parts and forming tools like cams, bearings, thread rolls, punches, dies, moulds, gauges, A1/Be mirrors, instrument panels, turbine blades, base boards for PCBs and ICs, soldered component boards, etc; steel cutting tools, cobalt and non-cobalt HSS, uncoated/TiN/chrome coated - drills, end mills, hobs, broaches, reamers, taps, chasers, form tools, saws, routers, piercing tools, slitters, knives, etc; cemented carbide tools, coated or uncoated - inserts, solid carbide drills, end mills, reamers, carbide tipped cutters, piercing tools, etc; and teflon, nylon, etc., for structural integrity; and stress relieving - ferrous and non ferrous castings and forgings benefit for enhanced dimensional stability and surface finish upon final machining.
