Coolant & Oil Chilling Unit

Span Associates offers a coolant and oil-chilling unit. This chilling unit covers applications such as precise grinding, gun drilling and thread grinding, etc. In precise grinding operations coolant temperature has to be maintained at 18(C to 20(C by refrigeration. In gun drilling, oil temperature is important for cutting tool life. The oil-chilling unit maintains the temperature of oil between 30(C to 40(C resulting in increased cutting edge life. The chilling unit also finds application in controlling temperature of oil in power packs. The unit consists of: refrigeration compressor, condenser, evaporator or heat exchanger, electronic temperature controller, control panel and safety devices. Advantages: increased coolant life, high dimensional accuracies, high machining accuracies and improvement in cutting edge life. Applications: precision grinding, gun drilling, ejector drilling, power pack oil cooling, gear and thread grinding.
