Air Cooled Steam Condensers

GEI Hamon offers Air Cooled Steam Condensers. It is used for thermal and combined cycle power plants. The system package includes as per the requirements - dog bone, transition piece below the turbine exhaust, steam distribution ducting designed to withstand vacuum loading, expansion bellows, tube bundles, structures, wind walls, drive units, twin speed motor and gearboxes. The fan profiles with aluminium or FRP blades are designed to give optimum power consumption. The package also includes instrumentation, air ejector system, condensate tank, hot well, pumping skids. The system is engineered to give optimum heat transfer and power consumption with option for varying speed of fans. The re-circulation is prevented by providing a wind wall on all along periphery and ease of maintenance ensured by providing adequate operational platforms and walkways. The tube bundles are generally made of 4 rows of circular "L" fin tubes, "LL" fin tubes or extruded bi-metallic fin tubes based on the application and environment. The steam condenses mainly in primary tubes (consisting of bottom 3 tube rows) in which steam flows from top to bottom. The balance steam condenses in secondary tubes (consisting of top most tube row) while flowing from bottom to top. The non-condensable are extracted from top of secondary tubes header to air extraction line. This top row of each bundle works as dephlagmator and ensure effective extraction of non-condensable. All the tube bundles are shop assembled and hydro tested. One cell of air cooled steam condenser includes set of tube bundles, steam distribution ducts, fan and drive assembly and support structure with walkways. There are one and more cells in total system depending upon thermal performance requirements. The other product offered is an easily maintainable cleaning device consisting of ladder-beam with fixed or movable nozzle which can be automatically or manually moved on each side of the condenser roof.
