Bio-Media, a large number of small elements are placed in the suspension of the bio-reactor. To circulate the media in the bio reactor, the air is blown under pressure. This process moves the bio-media in the circular motion additionally the air current provides the necessary oxygen to the bio mass. Gradually a bio films gets formed on the bio media. In conventional static media bio-reactors, the media, which does not get adequate air supply, turns into black patches. This happens, when the air is blown, it finds the easiest path, thereby bypassing certain bio-media. Under swift systems, since the media in continuously moving, the black patches are avoided. Further, the biological treatment is followed by speeding up the settling system, thereby making the sediments settle down and discharging a clear effluent.
