Oscar gate valves are manufactured in materials such as forged carbon steel (ASTM A 105), cast steel (ASTM A 216 wcb), and stainless steel (ASTM A 351) CF8/CF8M/CF3/CF3M). International standards like BS, and API are carefully studied and incorporated in the design of valves to ensure standardisation, safety and an unobtrusive flow pattern to minimise turbulence and flow losses. Extra care is taken at the assembly stage to ensure better and longer lasting sealing of the gate. A tested backseat facility allows for the replacement of the gland packing while in line thereby reducing maintenance problems.
