Triveni Equipments Pvt Ltd manufactures duplex strainer that provides uninterrupted flow of liquids in the pipeline. The system has two basket strainers: strainer-I and strainer-II and two divergent ball valves of 3-way ?L? port type installed in parallel and operated by a common lever. When ball valve lever is adjacent to strainer-I, it indicates strainer-I is isolated for cleaning and strainer-II is in operation. Operator can open the cover of strainer-I, clean and re-fit it for next operation. During line flow when strainer-II is clogged, ball valve lever goes adjacent to the strainer-II and gives indication for cleaning strainer-II. The pointers of ball valve coupler indicate port opening/flow direction. Installation of differential pressure gauge or differential pressure switch across strainers can also be done for indicating the clogging of screen. Drain valve of the system removes the sludge that settles at the strainer-housing bottom.
