Creative Micro Systems offers Relay Communication Gateway. The CSRG-X-S4R1 is a versatile multi-protocol relay communication gateway for communicating with a central SCADA system. It connects to multiple relay devices with support for protocols like Modbus, IEC 870-5-103 and SPA. Each port can support multiple relay devices thus acting as a data concentrator as well. The relay devices to be monitored and/or controlled are connected to the CSRG-X-S4R1 over RS-232 or RS-485. The following relay device types are supported:

• Modbus based relay devices
• IEC 870-5-103 relay devices
• SPA relay devices

The gateway converts from any of the above protocols to Modbus or IEC 870-5-103 or IEC 870-5-104 protocol when communicating with the Master SCADA system. Typically, the following conversions are provided:

• IEC 870-5-103 to Modbus-RTU
• Modbus-RTU to IEC 870-5-103
• Modbus / IEC 870-5-103 to IEC 870-5-104
• SPA / IEC 870-5-103 to IEC 870-5-104
• SPA / IEC 870-5-103 to Modbus-RTU

The gateway is equipped with 4 serial ports – two are RS-485 and two are RS232. Apart from this, there is an ethernet port for gateway configuration download and IEC 870-5-104 communication.
