GEE Limited set up its first welding electrode manufacturing plant in India with through a technical collaboration with a German company in the year 1969. Today, the company’s unmatched expertise in welding technology and metallurgy, driven by in-house R&D and global networking and documentation systems can solve welding problems however intricate they may be. It has now set up two green field plants doubling the production capacity to 13,200 tonnes. These plants, ISO 9001:2000 accredited by Det Norske Veritas, are fully integrated and are equipped with modern machinery and systems for production, packing and dispatch. The company offers cost-productive Welding Consumables, CPC Series. These include: Gricon red (E6013)– structural steel electrode: stable arc with excellent striking and re-striking properties, minimum spatter, easily detachable slag, ideal for bridging gaps of joints with poor fit-up; and Geecon 8 (E308)– AISI 304 grade austenitic stainless steel electrode– easy striking and re-striking– hence ideal for intermittent welds, uniform, porosity-free weld metal, lower drying temperature– can be used even without re-drying if properly stored, excellent corrosion-resistance properties, and works on AC as well as on DC (+).
