Application: for water aeration using oxygen from the air; removal of aggressive carbon dioxide from the water; removal of hydrogen sulphide; and separation of heavily sedimenting precipitated suspended solids. Advantages: energy-efficient aeration (only incoming water pressure used); unique design of the injector for higher aeration efficiency and ease of maintenance; complete regulation for optimal aeration point; fully automatic operation with local PLC; several processes at the same time; and stainless steel made for long durability. Principle: OxyWAP water aeration uses the mass exchange process, which takes place in two-phase (water-air) injector. The process uses the energy of the water stream, which is fed under pressure to the injector. The atmospheric air is sucked by a water stream flowing through the injector. The mass exchange process (oxygen, carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulphide) between the liquid and gas phase (water-air) takes place in the injector and in the reaction tank. Oxygen from the atmospheric air is dissolved in water and removed gases pass from the water to the air through ventilation pipe. The aerated water from the injectors flows to the reaction tank, which acts as an oxidation reactor for example for iron (II) and as separator of heavily sedimenting suspended solids. Aerated water is discharged with gravity by outlet or set of outlets placed at the appropriate height of the OxyWAP tank.
