Valflo, a manufacturer of control valves, in Ahmedabad, offers cylinder and piston linear actuators. These actuators generate higher thrust due to higher supply pressure they can sustain. Rigidity of control is achieved due to double acting feature and the spring is installed in the actuator to only achieve failsafe condition. The actuator is site configurable from air-to-open to air-to-close or vice versa using the same components with no screwed joints to attempt. Honed actuator inside surface and Buna-N (Viton for high temperature) O-ring for piston reduces the contact area and thereby friction to achieve quick response. The actuators are available standard and dual spring for greater returning force. Cast aluminium cylinders and pistons make the actuators lightweight. These are recommended for linear control valves and dampers, and available with adjustable limit opening/closing stop and in 25 sq.inch to 600 sq.inch sizes. Can be used in tandem for higher thrust requirements.
