Electroteknica Switchgears started its operation in 1989 as a manufacturer of vacuum circuit breakers, vacuum contactors and unitised package substations. Subsequently the company has added a series of new products, viz., automatic voltage regulators, dry type transformers, flameproof vacuum circuit breakers and trans-switch units, load break switches, and outdoor porcelain clad VCBs. It has now two factories in India. The flameproof vacuum circuit breaker is rated for 3.3 kV 75 MVA 400A/6.6 kV 150 MVA 630 A, and approved by DGMS Dhanbad for use in underground gassy mines. The flameproof VCB is fitted with all necessary protections.
