Roop Telsonic Ultrasonix offers Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge, UX 4510. The instrument measures the transit time of wave, and gives thickness by multiplying with sound velocity in the material. Velocity input is given by initial calibration, which is done with known thickness reference block. Specifications: testing method - pulse echo, first echo transit time measurement; material - metals, plastic, glass etc (with suitable probe); range - 1.2 mm to 300 mm (in steel - flat); probes - dual crystal - (TR); key pad - sealed, colour coded key pad; resolution - 0.1 mm (display selectable between 0.1 and 0.01); calibration - one step calibration; accuracy: (0.1 mm up to 25 mm, ±1 per cent above 25 mm; display - LCD with backlight, display for thickness, velocity, low battery, memory; memory - 9960 readings; battery - NiMH re-chargeable battery 3.6V; charger - external charge, 230 V AC supply; ambient temp: 0º to 50ºC; weight - light weight (less than 400 gm); case - weather resistant moulded plastic; communication - RS232 for memory data transfer to PC.
