Kushal Udhyog offers ‘KU’ brand airless Tumblast Shot Blasting Machine, Model KU-TB, best suitable for batch cleaning of small components with weight varying from few grams to max 6 kg/per piece. Components having a similar shape and geometry are effectively tumbled in a group so that all the sides of the component are exposed to the blasting stream coming from the blast wheel. This machine is excellent for applications such as de-burring, de-flashing and shot peening of metal parts specially where cost of blasting is a critical criteria and mass production is needed. The object is not going to be damaged due to tumbling action of the jobs on a heavy-duty rubber belt as in the case of castings, forgings and other sturdy items.
The machine consists of a tumbling barrel of perforated rubber sheet of 12 to 16 mm thick. The barrel is loaded with components from the front side after opening the door of the machine. The barrel rotates at low RPM and gently tumbles all the components. A blast wheel unit is fitted at the top of the machine, which throws shots on tumbling components, and blast cleans them thoroughly. This process is controlled by a pre-set timer and after completion of job the door of the machine is opened and blasted components are taken out.
