Pyrotek offers Tri-Metallic Transition Inserts. Pyrotek transition inserts "clads" are manufactured exclusively by Spur Industries. The two base metals are roll-bonded together under precise pressure and temperature control, resulting in a high integrity metallurgical joint.
The interface contains highly conductive and temperature tolerant chromium to reduce intermetallic diffusion between the substrates, which can lead to the formation of brittle compounds.
This extends the service temperature and insert life while maintaining high electrical and thermal conductivity.
