Komet Precision Tools offers Thread Milling Cutters. These cutters are used for steels with a high tensile strength >900 N/mm2. These tools also ensure a controlled wear in materials of this kind and a longer life. The MGF-XS type range includes thread sizes for metric threads from 4 to 20 mm, metric fine threads from M8 x 1 to M16 x 1.5 and Whit-worth pipe threads from G1/8 to G1/4, each in length to diameter ratios of 1.5 and 2.0 x D. Larger fine pitch threads (>20 mm) are covered by Tomill-XS type. In general, TICN coated tools from 8 millimetres shank diameter upwards are designed with internal coolant supply.
