Universal Tool manufactures solid carbide thread cutters and taps from microfine special carbide for milling of threads in difficult materials. These can be used for hardened material and work by planetary machining in the hole. They can machine the thread from M4 to M24 in different sizes, and can be similarly offered in inches, BSW, BSF, etc. Solid carbide thread mills are also offered in internal coolant hole type, whereby the coolant reaches right up to the cutting edge. Thread milling cutters are also offered in high cobalt per cent, high speed steel, besides carbide inserted tipped design for larger diameter of the hole.
