Temperature Controllers

Omron has updated flagship Temperature Controllers--E5CN, E5AN, and E5EN Series--to bring higher accuracy and greater display visibility to the plant floor. Models are available in 1/4, 1/8 and 1/16 DIN sizes.
E5CN 1/16 DIN Temperature Controllers

• Improved input accuracy for terminal block models

Thermocouple: (±0.3% PV or ±1° whichever is greater) ±1 digit; Platinum resistance thermometer: (±0.2% PV or ±0.8° whichever is greater) ±1 digit; Analog input: ±0.2% FS ±1 digit.

• Improved current output resolution – approximately 10,000
• For models with added external communication (RS-485), set-up cable (E58-CIFQ1) can now be used at the same time
• Additional Parameters / Functions:

Manipulated Variable limiter; 40% AT (auto-tuning); Auto-tuning function for cooling gain during heating and cooling; Switching direct/reverse operation by event/operation command; PV change rate alarm; Universal thermocouple sensor inputs, including types W, PL II; Serial communications via Modbus 1 data 2 byte mode; Over-current alarm; Square root extraction function (only for analog input models); PV/SV status display function

• Control output cycles can be counted for preventive maintenance. Trigger an alarm for controller replacement based on monitoring of relay use
• Enhanced machine aesthetics with black or silver models

Omron E5AN, E5EN and E5CN controllers can be set-up using CX-Thermo Software version 4 (EST2-2C-MV4), which is available as stand-alone software or in the latest update of CX-One software suite.
