Karthik Instrumentation has introduced a ready-to-use, modular temperature control system for scientists, R&D institutions and pharmaceutical applications, etc. The standard size is 160 x 80 x 135 mm (W x H x D). The single-phase modular control unit consists of a PID control unit with SSR or a thyrister power regulator to accurately control the heating applications. Heaters up to 3 kW can be directly plugged into the heater module. A 500 mm long mineral insulated thermocouple type K is provided along with the module. The objective of the module is to simplify the control instrumentation for scientists and researchers. Various options can be provided with the module to ensure custom built solutions. A programmable profile PID controller can be provided instead of PID controller. Communication options (Modbus) can be featured for data acquisition purpose. Simple and economical software could be supplied for data acquisition. A master-slave combination can be suitably fixed to control two zone heaters for high uniformity. The master can be a profile controller to be followed by the slave controller. The dimensions of two-zone control will be 200 x 80 x 150 mm. The modules are in-built with all safety features like switches, fuses, etc.
