Linear Technologies India Private Limited makes T5 high frequency electronic ballasts that are ideal for increasing system efficiency with T5 tubes. Also due to high frequency (above 20 KHz) operation, this makes workers perform their tasks easier. The ballasts are offered in two varieties. The higher quality ‘CONSTALUX’ model delivers constant light from 195 to 245V with THD below 8 per cent in accordance with current European standards. A built in RF filter keeps radio frequency disturbances within requirements of EN 55015 and EN 55022. Power factor is 0.99. An Economy model does away with constant lux output with variable input and THD is below 30 per cent in accordance with Indian Standards IS 13021 specifications. Power factor for this model is 0.90. Technical specifications: * Metal case with magnetic shielding and earth connected to body is provided for all types in accordance with EN61547 requirements for EMC immunity. * Sophisticated EMI filter in ‘CONSTALUX’ is ideal for installations where sensitive electronics equipment, such as, computers, communications and electro medical systems are installed. * Mains pollutions filter in conformity with EN 61000-3-2/IEC 1000-3-2 * For long lamp life current wave crest factor is kept below 1.5. * Suitable for input voltage 120-280V and environment temperature of -15 to +55 degree C. * All ballasts have abnormal lamp protection that prevents power wastage in case of lamp failure. * Meets EN 60928 safety standards for electronic gear.
