Plastic tanks have become the standard for new shallow, turbulent type pickling lines as well as for replacing traditional steel tanks with dunking rolls in existing lines. They have special construction techniques for prolonging the life of polypropylene tanks in the very aggressive nitric and hydrofluoric acids.
