These work on the principle of converting the pressure energy of a motivating fluid to velocity energy to entrain the suction fluid. When the vacuum is created, air or gas is entrained and the mixture of gas enters the venture diffuser where its velocity energy is converted into pressure, sufficient to discharge against a predetermined back pressure. The material of construction can be varied according to the process requirements.
