Spring Pins
Dacsons Tools Manufacturing Company offers spring pins. They are simple but versatile engineering components used to replace rivets, split pins, taper pins, dowel pins, bolts, etc. These pins are slotted to permit compression when inserted into the drilled holes. The elasticity of the material then exerts a continuous radial force over the full length of the pin. It is chamfered at both ends to facilitate installation and removal. Reusable, self-locking, and self-aligning, their permanent spring action takes up hole wear during normal service. No reworking of holes is required. They are available in a choice of sizes, imperial (non-tangle) and metric (to DIN 1481). Special finishes and nonstandard lengths are made available upon request.
