Solvent extraction is a practice done to extract the oil from oil bearing materials with the use of solvent. Solvent being used in this process can be normal hexane – a petroleum by-product. The plant designed by the company extracts the oil directly from various oil seeds, which contain less than 20% oil. After detaching, it is fully pressed to make it a cake of seeds containing more than 20% oil and then the oil is extracted from it. The seeds of sunflower, peanuts, cotton seed, palm kernel, canola, copra, castor, etc., are used to extract the oil. The company is known for its quality testing and measuring methods.
