AICON 3D Systems GmbH offers a comfortable and reliable all-in-one Solution for point and surface measurement: the mobile probe ProCam combined with the breuckmann smartSCAN. This is a 3D scanner for the measurement of crash vehicles, for users in the field of crash test. ProCam measures vehicles before and after a crash test. The active probe is equipped with a high-resolution CCD camera and changeable probe tips. The measuring points are touched while the camera is held facing a portable or fixed reference point field to create exact 3D coordinates. Especially when it comes to safety-relevant components, e.g., A- or B-pillars, front wall, legroom or pedalry, more and more users even have to capture surface data to match the measurement results with the simulation models.

The white light scanner perfectly complements the ProCam measurements. Its modular design is adaptable for different measuring tasks and field sizes: When measuring in the narrow vehicle interior, the 3D scanner can easily be converted to a very small size. The systems’ softwares are connected via standard interfaces – an automated dataflow is guaranteed. Thus, AICON now offers the entire work process, and thereby reacts to the increasingly diversified requirements on tactile surface measuring systems: dummy positioning with MoveInspect DPS, deformation analysis after the crash test with ProCam and smartSCAN as well as the complete presentation and analysis of the results with the suitable software configuration. Users can simply extend their existing measurement equipment by new features and thus quickly and easily complement their universal coordinate measuring machine for new measuring tasks.
