Facilitates children to read and write, portable light for farmers to go about their daily rituals after sunset. Solar Lanterns also suffice the urban need of emergency lighting, decorative outdoor lighting and their use as night lamp. It lights more than a kerosene lamp and leaves no carbon emission.
Solar Lantern consists of a PV module, battery, lamp, and electronics are placed in a suitable housing with Acrylonitrile Butadiene styrene (ABS) Plastic. The solar lantern is suitable for either indoor or outdoor lighting, covering a full range of 360 degrees.
PV module converts sun light into electricity, charges the battery which powers the luminaries consists of White Light Emitting Diode (W- LED), a solid state device which emits light when an electric current passes through it.
