Voyage Incorporation offers Soft Start/Soft Stop for Electric Motors manufactured by KIMO Industrie-Elektronik GmbH, Germany. KIMO has a special option that can be attached to its soft starter unit, which has current limiting option as well as power saving under low loads. The extra option automatically adjusts voltage depending on whether the motor is loaded or not and thus saving power by correcting power factor in the system. Benefits and features: working voltage range – 110 to 690 V; low adjustable starting torque current limiting option; switch on torque and run-up voltage ramp separately adjustable; and easily retrofitted. Some of the major applications can be: conveyor belts; packing equipment; long travel drives for cranes; compressors and heat pumps; grinding machines and circular saws; vibration transporters; and machines with gearbox, belt or chain drives.
