Kristeel Shinwa Industries Ltd manufactures SMT stencils/solder masks in India by a superior technology known as photochemical machining. Its process technology is set up in technical collaboration with Shinwa Rule Co, Japan. KSIL is a member of Photo Chemical Machining Institute, USA. SMT stencils are offered in imported stainless steel material in internationally acceptable thicknesses, ie, 0.15 mm/0.20 mm. With the advanced infrastructure availability micron level precisions of 15 mil pitch can be obtained and for more finer pitch step etching is practised. These SMT stencils offer several advantages like low lead time of manufacturing and up to 1,00,000 boards can be solder pasted. The inputs required for manufacturing a stencil are a top solder mask layout on a floppy disk or photo films or bare PCB.
