Indian Valve was formed in 1970, following the closure in India of Glenfield and Kennedy Limited, a renowned hydraulic valve manufacturing company of Scotland. Using knowledge gained in the years before promoting IVC, the promoters were able to quickly establish a reputation of its own. The company is a slowly emerging giant in valves for water and sewage industry for speedy and accurate design at a price considered the best value for money. Electrically operated sluice valves are tailor made to suit specific duties, with reliable actuator and gearbox, ball thrust bearing arrangement, and machined channel guides and shoes to ensure trouble free service. Standard construction: cast iron with bronze trim and stainless steel (AISI 410) spindle, inside screw non rising with flanges drilled to IS-1538 (IV & VI)/BS 4504 (10/11)/BS EN 1092-2, valves painted with black bituminous paint. Pressure rating: 10 bar for sizes 50 to 600 NB and 6 and 10 bar for sizes 700 to 1200 NB. These valves can be provided with a host of optional fittings and other accessories like indicator, drain plug, air plug, by pass arrangements, etc. Power operation is by electric/pneumatic/hydraulic. Other possibilities: outside screw rising spindle (O/R)/sluice/gate valves in all sizes higher pressure rating (up to 16 bar) in all sizes; different trim and body material to suit duty; painting as per clients' requirement; and BS 5163 ? for sufficient quantity can be made.
