Cimtrix CimPACT is an economic, compact single axis CNC package with a fullfledged integrated PLC and a single spindle control. CimPACT is ideally suited for applications that call for precise position control of a slide and PLC-based control of auxiliary functions. CimPACT is the answer for applications where a standard PLC will not meet the application requirement and using a conventional multi-axis CNC system is an overkill. Key features of CimPACT: i) It performs closed loop position control of 1 axis (linear/rotary axis) and output speed reference to a spindle drive; ii) Can be interfaced to any axis and spindle drive that accepts velocity reference in the form of analogue voltage; iii) Supports complete stepper motor/drive interface; iv) It is programmable-axis positioning is made flexible by using G-Code type part programs, axis motions can be programmed based on either distance or combination of inputs; v) It has multiple execution modes such as Auto/Block-by-Block/Continuous/JOG/Homing; vi) User interface through hand-held programmable interactive unit PX-100 with LCD interface; vii) Fully integrated PLC with 32 inputs/16 outputs, expandable to 96 input/48 outputs; and, viii) Ideally suited for SPMS, winding machines, drilling machines, grinding machines, cut-to-length machines, control of manipulators in robotics, testing machines, conveyor systems and materials handling, etc.
