Span Met Tech Enterprises offers Span shell moulding machines, Model SMM 450. These are equipped with turnover type dump box with spindles running in ball bearings. The motor and reduction gearbox drive the machine by heavy-duty chains. Disc type brake is provided on the motor. The ejection mechanism is operated by a pneumatic cylinder. Heaters are provided under the pattern plate. The panel has programmable logic controller with full auto cycle control. Manual override is provided. Specifications: pattern plate – 300 x 600 mm; dump box capacity – 150 kg; maximum draw – 50 mm; heater in top oven – 6.75 kW; heaters under pattern plate – 4.5 kW; motor – 1.5 HP; compressed air required – 6 cfm (10 cu.m/hr); ejection – pneumatic; and floor space – 1600 x 900 mm.
