AC Servo Motors are simplicity in design, rugged construction & relatively low manufacturing cost. These are basically two-phase motor system. The two-phase supply is normally not available; hence to operate the motor from single-phase AC supply, second phase is artificially created by inserting a RC combination assembly supplied along with servo motor.
