Machine Tool Services has developed a range of self feed drilling units, with extremely slim design. The units have precision spindles, chrome plated quill and precision bearing arrangement. Feed can be hydraulic powered or pneumatic powered. The units are individual motor driven or flexible shaft driven. They have mechanical stops, rapid to feed control, greater efficiency and make less noise. Drill chuck or collet type arrangement can be given. Drilling units with direct electric drive or with multiple drive through flexible shafts from a single motor are available. One person can handle a number of auto feed drill units. Two, three, four or more units can be mounted in any position to drill simultaneously or in a sequence. Units offer extremely large productivity gains in every size shop with low power or air requirements.
