Self-centring chucks are manufactured by Jupiter Machine Tools, a company known for its range of light and medium duty lathes. Features: semi steel bodies manufactured from high strength cast iron and ground for accurate fitting of jaws and scroll; scroll plates are manufactured from wear resistant steel and harden and bore ground for longer life; jaws are made of low carbon case hardening steel and hardened in modern heat treatment plant; jaws teeth are ground for pitch accuracy; and pinions are made of low carbon case hardening steel harden and ground bearing areas for longer life. The company also manufactures all types of bearing rings, turning chucks and special purpose chucks.
