Sandwich Busbar Systems
General Engineering offers Sandwich Busbar Systems. It is a Low voltage sandwich (low reactance) busbar system (busways), up to a current rating of 6000 A. It conforms to IEC-439 (Part -2) and has been designed for DC and AC systems. Three phase AC systems can also be provided with 100% and 200% neutral configurations. The enclosure is made of aluminium extrusions of substantial cross-section to provide effective grounding and offers a degree of protection of IP-55. The conductors can be offered with a choice of aluminium and copper. The busways are ideally suited for interconnections between transformers, switchgear panels and alternators. Busways, when installed in high rise buildings can also be provided with fixed or plug-in tap-off facilities. Busways connections comprise standard factory built assemblies of straight lengths, bends, tees, elbows, termination flanges and boxes, flexibles, tap-off connections and boxes, wall/ floor seals, end caps, etc. Standard supports from ceiling, wall and ground are offered.
