Span Met Tech Enterprises offers Span sand coating plants, Model SCP 75. These work on the warm coating process. The mixer impeller is 'S' blade type fitted with replaceable Ni-Hard tips and liners. A bucket type sand charger is provided. The vibrating screen is a high energy screen, that breaks the lumps and sieves the sand without damaging the coating. Hot air is supplied from a heater box insulated with ceramic wool blanket. A high heating efficiency of sand is achieved. Fully automatic cycle control with programmable logic controller is provided. A manual override is provided. Batch capacity: 75 kg/150 kg/300 kg. Optional accessories: automatic pre-weighing arrangement for sand; automatic pre-weighing arrangement for catalyst; and volumetric dosing of resin. Specifications: batch capacity – 75 kg; average cycle time – 10-11 minute; minimum and maximum resin on sand – 2-6%; total connected load – 52 HP/39 kW; compressed air requirement (free air) – 12 cfm (20 cu.mtr/hr); air pressure required – @ 6 kg/cm2; and floor space required in metres – 4 x 5.
