These are hand held hardness testers for Rubber, Plastics, Polymers & similar materials. The hardness can be measured in SHORE-A or SHORE-D scales. These can be also mounted on specially made test stands for better accuracy and batch/mass inspection.

Measures hardness on SHORE scales SHORE-A : Soft & natural rubbers, neoprene, polyesters, soft P.V.C., leather, thiokol nitril rubber, wax, felt etc. SHORE-D : Hard rubbers, hard synthetic materials, e.g. acrylics, polystyrol, thermoplastics, printing rolls, vinyl sheets, cellulose acetates, densified wood etc.
